Mr. Anurag Kalavatiya is the Founder and Managing Partner at Amicus Legal, a role he has held since 2013, where he leads the firm’s commercial litigation practice and associated advisory services. He regularly appears before a range of legal forums, including the Supreme Court, High Courts, Commercial Courts, Civil Courts, Arbitration Tribunals, NCLT/NCLAT, DRT/DRAT, and Income Tax Authorities/Appellate Tribunals. An alumnus of the National Law University, Raipur (2003-08), he has built a robust career in law.
Anurag has over 16 years of post-qualification experience, starting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in New Delhi/Gurgaon in its Direct Taxation team from 2008 to 2010, followed by a tenure under Senior Advocate Sanajay Jhanwar at Chir Amrit Law Chambers (2010-2013). Throughout his career, he has handled large and complex commercial disputes across various sectors, including infrastructure, real estate, banking, and finance. He advises and represents a diverse range of clients, from reputable corporations to public sector companies and government institutions. Additionally, Anurag is a visiting faculty member at several government agencies, institutions, and law universities.
Mr. Susshil Daga has been the Founder and Managing Partner at Amicus Legal since 2013, where he specializes in Commercial and Corporate Litigation, particularly in arbitration and corporate transactions. His expertise includes commercial arbitrations, corporate and securities litigations, and infrastructure arbitration, focusing on contract risk evaluation and exposure mapping. As a qualified Company Secretary, he offers a distinctive insight into Corporate Litigation and is well-known in the National Company Law Tribunals (NCLT) and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
He is affiliated with several prestigious associations, including the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Arbitration Bar of India. He is recognized for his strong advocacy skills, representing a diverse clientele in complex commercial and contractual matters before prominent legal forums, such as the Supreme Court of India and various Arbitration Tribunals. With extensive experience in both Domestic and International Commercial Arbitration, he excels in drafting and settling documents related to Special Leave Petitions, Statements of Claims and Defenses, and various pleadings for Courts and Arbitration Tribunals.
